"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. "
I heard it today in the gym ... somehow it reminds me of Orff's "O Fortuna"
UPDATE:
I have to agree both songs are "dark" ... I believe that God is there for us. Our faith should light our ways no matter what. I hope that Alla will give us the faith to stay strong. I like the music and the atmosphere those songs bring.
It is about waking up ... really getting up ... opening her eyes ... looking around and realizing that she is about to spend another day ... far and away.
It is about spending the minutes ... breathing the air ... and trying to live the life...
It is about that lump in her throat ... the tears that are refusing to fall...
